AM2 ram problems

hi, this is my new setup:

Asus M2NPV-VM uATX AM2 board(nForce 6150)

Sempron 3000+

Corsair twin2x 2*1024MB DDR2 rated at 675-4-4-4-12 at 1.9V

problem is:

im able to run theese at 570-3-3-3-12-1T at 1.9V but not at default rated speeds/timings. i tried 1t/2t and no go. MB allows only 1.9Vbut that should be enough.

the second problem is they ARE running in dual channel but im getting only ~4000MBps bandwith of them... whats the deal??

can someone help?

On any AM2 system you can only run the DDR Frequency at 667MHZ if you use a 10x or 14x multiplier. Your Sempron 3000+ uses a 8x multiplier. In this case I would stick with your current settings. Also up the DDR Voltage to 2.0v.

i know about this issue, but the point is that the ram is unable to operate at 650MHZ 4-4-4-12-2T or even at 650MHZ 5-5-5-18-2T and is rated at 667-4-4-4-12

Im not able to up voltage to 2.0V 'cause the mobo supports only 1.9V as max.

How many Volts doues this ram need to reach their rated speeds?

And also, why is my memory bandwith only 4000MBps at 553MHZ 3-3-3-7-1T

is this memory or MB related???

Please state your system settings when running at 650MHZ 4-4-4-12-2T.

htt 200, cpu multi 8x, memclock 667Mhz (in reality 640mhz) 4.0-4-4-12-2T ddr voltage 1.9V (max for this board) and got ~99000errors in memtest test 5

in windows BSOD during boot

if its voltage related ill go and buy asus M2N-sli which has 2.5V max ddr voltage. will this memory run with this board??

I already stated in the first message. You can only set memclock value at 6667MHZ if you use a 10x or 14x multiplier.

You dont understand my problem. The point was not it run at 640mhz instead of 667, the point is that at this 640mhz i get ~90000 errors and the ram is rated for 667mhz.

This night i tried 208mhz htt, cpu multi 8x memclock 667 which translates in pure 666mhz memory clock(208*8/5=332.8mhz), latency set to 4-4-4-12-2T and got >100.000 errors in test #5

So, would you please tell me what voltage doest this ram need to reach 667mzh? i tried 5-5-5-15-2t and nothing... I thing its the voltage thats limiting me.

And second question, will this ram run in asus M2N-SLI ???

PLease try the following settings.

CPU Frequency: 250

CPU Multiplier: 7

CPU Voltage: 1.4v try 1.45v if fail

DDR Voltage: 2.1v

DDR Frequency: 533MHZ

TCL: 4

TRCD: 4

TRP: 4

TRAS: 12

Command Rate: 2T

HTT Frequency or multiplier: 600MHZ/ 3x

nvm, i returned the M2NPV-VM and bought M2N-SLI deluxe and this board finaly has higher ddr voltage than 1.9V so its running fine.

So it was MB fault.

Anyway, i have a question, this is my first DDR2 memory, can you tell me what is the highest voltage i could try without active cooling the ram??

Hmm. Well, glad I found this out before I bought an M2N-E. Will likely get an M2N-SLI instead.

Perhaps Corsair should stop listing compatible RAM for this board (as it currently does) until ASUS releases some sort of BIOS update for it allowing DRAM voltages above 1.95V.
