Mviner04
Ran 2 memtest on my 2GB Kit of Value Select DDr2-667 PC2 5300 ram. First test: Volt: 2.05 Recieved 4 errors in 8 passes. Second Test: Volt: 2.1 Recieved 2 errors in 13 passes. Is this bad ram or just a compatiblity isssues. Speeds and all else other than voltage is set to default. Would have run tests with one stick at a time if I would have gotten lots of errors but after reading in the forum I have noticed a few errors can be a compatibility issue. I have an ECS C-19a m/b, and a pentium D
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 23, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 23, 2006 Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then leave the timings set to "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
