obones
Hi, My Acer Travelmate notebook is compatible with the CMSS1GB-333SOD memory upgrade according to the corsair tool. When I went looking for a vendor, I found two very similar references: CMSS1GB-333SOD CMSS1GB-333G4SOD What is the difference between those two? The vendor says the later is only for G4 laptops, but when using the corsair tool, I find the first one when specifying an Apple G4 laptop. Can anyone tell me what are the differences between those two and if they are compatible? Thanks in advance.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 13, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 13, 2006 The "G4" part is for Apple G4 Notebooks!
obones
Well, yes, but why doesn't the corsair tool recommend it? And what are the differences?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 13, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 13, 2006 You have an Acer TravelBook, not an Apple G4! The CMSS1GB-333G4SOD module is made to the meet the system builders requirements. Please just use the module that listed for your system.
