Dell 5100C Memory

Confused about what memory I need for my Dell 5100c I want to add about 2gb.

 

I used the memory config site on Corsair. Found what they recommend.

When I try to find that at a retailer, the only thing I can find is

 

VS2GBKIT533D2

 

Would this work fine in my machine? Currently have 512mb. Could remove this if needed.

 

My pc is a Pentium D 2.80,

You will need to remove your existing 512MB of memory in order for that new 2GB kit to work. And even then, there is no guarantee that it will work. That's because Dell sometimes tinkers with its motherboards and BIOSes so that it would only work with the Dell OEM memory (or memory that you'd purchase as a system upgrade from Dell).
