TWINX Upgrade?

Recommended Posts

I have 1 Gig of TWINX1024-3200C2 DDR400 Dual Channel in an Intel D875PBZ mother board with PIV 3.0 GHz HT 800FSB. Works fine but need more ram for multiple applications I like to run simultaneously.

I don't overclock just take auto (hoping for stability).

Can I add TWINX2048-3200 2GB DDR400 XMS3200 Memory without encountering "revision" problems? Timing problems?

Welcome to the forums, atthissite!

You may very well run into problems running un-matched memory in that system, especially with all four DIMM slots populated.

I think a TwinX2048-3200 (DDR400, 3-3-3-8) set would run just fine, but may not play nicely with your existing modules. Unfortunately, I also don't think that your motherboard's BIOS provides in depth memory options, but if you have a DDR voltage option you'd want to set it to 2.75 or 2.8 volts.

It is very propable that they'll work together, but not garaunteed. It is not reccommended to mix/match memory modules.
