While playing battlefield 2 for an extended period of time, roughly and hour and a half or more, I begin to experience a fps slowly drops, until the game is unplayable after about two and a half hours of game time. Can Someone please point me to the direction of the problem?

-Thanks

i had a simaler issue with bf2. i got a memory sanity check error and crashed to destop after about 15 min of play. i was thnking it was a memory issue i had 2 x 512 wlpt dimms. it turned out the hard drive was going bad i had to replace the 160 gb sata drive. only found out after the BSOD and it would not load the os anymore. If you set BF2 GFX setting "Textures" to Medium (assuming you have set HIGH coz of good 256MB gpu), will it still do the same ?

An issue I had with former PC (X800XL 256MB and 1GB mem) was that after ZOOMING IN MAX as COMMANDER, and leaving zoom mode I got half fps...always..think it was due to 1GB RAM...

dispite memtest and superpi and prime ran OK, u still can crash games...especially when u have 2GB
