MGCJerry
I have a pair of matched CMX512-3200C2Pro modules that seems to no longer work at PC3200 speeds after my main machine died. I let my friend test/and borrow the modules for me since I dont have any other DDR based systems, and they refused to pass memtest at 3200 speeds but did work at 2700 speeds. While running at 3200 speeds it would cause the machine to enter a reboot cycle So, should I hold onto these while a wait for the funds to build a new machine and hope they work on the new rig at 3200, or should I just get them RMA'd back and be done with it? Thanks in advance, MGCJerry
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 5, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 5, 2006 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
MGCJerry
Sorry about the delay, been pretty busy with work. Gigabyte GA-7NNXP Barton 3000 (stock) FSB: 400 Timings: 2-3-3-11 I had to select the "expert" settings in the BIOS to be able to get to the timings. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 8, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 8, 2006 Please test the modules one at a time with the tested settings Cas 2.5-3-3-6 at 2.7 Volts (+.2 Volts) with http://www.memtest.org to make sure one is not failing. And or testing them in another system will help to make sure its not some other problem.

MGCJerry
Just an update on this matter... I just put my machine together yesterday, and though I havent run memtest yet, the sticks are running fine and there doesnt seem to be any problems. However, my machine was running SETI advanced since yesterday. Running them at stock voltages and the following timings: 2-3-3-
