P5LD2-VM with TWIN2X1024-5400C4

I did some browsing, but didn't find exactly what I wanted, so here is yet another thread.

I just finished upgrading my wife's rig to the following :

ASUS P5LD2-VM

Pentium 4 506

TWIN2X1024-5400C4

My question is ... where can I go with the timings on the RAM without getting into the OC realm. The system is doing SPD at 4300 setting. I can't seem to change that at all, although I have switched to Manual and dropped to the recommended 4-4-4-12.

Is it possible for the system to run the ram at 5400 with a 506 installed?

If not, should I bother trying to tighten the timing further because I am at 4300?

Ideas and suggestions appreciated.

The CPU you have is a 533FSB CPU that is why you are running at less than what the MB is capable of.

You would need to be running a 800 FSB CPU to run at DDR2-667 or DDR2-533
