nps111
While I was transferring files from my computer to my FV 4gb Flash drive my computer locked up hard. Even though the blue led light wasn't on the flash drive was open cause it was being written to when my computer locked up, the only way I could get back was to hit the reset button and reboot. So when I got back up I had these garbage corrupt files in one directory that I can't get rid of. If I try to reformat the drive will I lose the capacity on the flash drive that the corrupt files take up? There are no file extensions and I can't erase them by any of the ususal delete methods. Has this happened to anyone else? Does this happen very often? What is the fix? My friend has some corrupt files on his also that I sold him. Wired
formatting will erase the FAT table, which will nullify all references to those files. In otherwords, formatting will erase it all data on the disk, regardless of corruption or not.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 15, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 15, 2006 Please try and format your Flash Voyager with Corsair EZ-Recover Utility. Please note; this will not recover Data; it’s made to recover the FAT table for the Flash drive.
