ontarian_frog
Well I found out today my ram modules are the Winbond -5 UTT. :[pouts: Problem is, my motherboard's voltage only goes up to 2.9...and those winbond's can take well above that, at least 3.3 I bet I could get my ram to go 250mhz @ 2-3-3-6 3.3V. I guess I won't be able to void my warranty anytime soon. :o: That's too bad because I was expecting a lot from these modules when I bought them. AusTerro
BH-5 series RAM only likes timings of 2-2-2-X The two pairs I have do DDR500 2-2-2-5 @ 3.2v With 2.9v I got about DDR460. So you will still be able to get good results!
ontarian_frog
well my maximum overclock is 210mhz @ 2-2-2-5. Right now I'm testing 215mhz @ 2.5-3-3-8. I'm getting better results in synthetic benchmarks....now I'm running prime to see if it is stable.
AusTerro
As I said before IF you have BH-5 series RAM it is only good for 2-2-2-X timings. 2-2-2-5 might be a bit tight. Try 2-2-2-10 and see what happens. Ignore synthetic benchmarks, test with memtest. Also max out your vDIMM voltage. So if it only goes to 2.9v then set it to 2.9v. Also a faster CPU speed will give you more 'memory bandwidth' in alot of benchmarks. Because the Memory controller is on the CPU. So running your CPU as fast as it can go AND using a memory divider will only HELP your system speed. 1:1 with an A64 is meaningless. Unless of course that happens to be the max of all your hardware.
