rufusmccoot
i've got a ddr400 1 gb module. i already have three others and when i put the new one in, it registers anywhere from 0-.9gb . when it is the only module in my board, it always registers at a full gig. i tried resetting the cmos a few times too. two existing modules are by mushkin. the other existing module is the same type as my new one, corsair value select. i've got four ram slots, each maxes out at a gig, for a total of four gig supported. that irratic behavior makes me think the module is bad
Wired
MUCH more info is needed. What CPU / FSB / Motherboard do you have? Test one stick at a time in each slot using Memtest86+. Click here to find out how you can add your system specs to your profile and posts! Also, it's never recommended to mix memory from different manufacturers. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 29, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 29, 2006 So are you trying to mix memory and if so what is the part# and revision of all of the modules in your system? You do realize you cannot mix memory with this platform right?
