Single Bad TWINX2048-3200C2PT module

Had an issue tonight where I shut down my pc, rebooted, had power but no video or anything. Ran through the normal tests and the final outcome was a bad memory module.

Info:

A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo

TWINX2048-3200C2PT ram

M1 = DIMM_A1

M2 = DIMM_B1

1) Boot, failed memory post

2) Removed M1 system post

3) Switched M2 with M1, failed post

4) Replaced M1 and M2 with 2 other modules that I knew worked in DIMM_A1 and DIMM_B1, system post

5) Removed other modules, put M1 into DIMM_B1, failed post

6) Switched M1 with M2 in DIMM_B1, system post.

Conclusion, the original module that was in DIMM_A1 has gone bad and I should file a request for RMA.

Thanks for the reply, hopefully I hit all the steps that we would have run through anyway to save a lot of headaches for all involved. :)

I noticed the Online RMA request I filled out mentioned if it's a Matched Pair both sticks need to be sent back. No problem there, is there anything I should do with a peice of paper or whatever to denote the module I tested and felt had gone bad?
