jayssite
I bought VS512MB400C3 for my IBM NetVista. It was a hasty purchase; I didn't realize compatibility problems were even a possibility. The NetVista takes 128-pin memory, DDR 333. Whatever that means. (The memory is 128-pin, DDR 400, but isn't DDR supposed to be backwards-compatible?) The memory fits in the slot fine, but when I power the computer on, I get a error beep code: 1 3 3 1. I looked it up, it apparently means "Autosize DRAM"? What's this all about? Bottom line: Do I need to return the RAM? Or can something be done? Thanks. - Jay
