John E
My new thumb drive seems to work OK. My computer bings twice when I plug it in - my old smaller thumb drive only bings once. File Explorer sees the drive as 4GB so that seems ok but the properties are shown as FAT format rather than FAT 32 (I don't know if Windows XP shows a difference). If the format is, in truth, FAT 32 why do I get 2 bings when I plug it in? Silly question but it may be relevant to me. Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 17, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 17, 2006 I would suggest you format it in Fat 32 before you start using it. As far as the sounds you hear when you connect it that is an Audio setting in Windows. But they may sometimes beep twice becasue of the controller we use!
