canuck64
Have TWINX 2048 mem modules (a pair). second of the pair is dead as a doorknob, system will not post and issues error beeps by the dozen with it alone, or seconded to the first on any channel, any slot. Need it replaced. Have tried every setting change in BIOS, flashing BIOS to different versions and various memory settings to get this to work. I repeat, it will not work ALONE, (and the other one does) so this is not a rig issue/setting. My rig ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo AMD 3200+ 2x Maxtor 160G SATA (non RAID) On board sound Windows XP Pro SP2 Have flashed BIOS from 1017 (beta) back to 1009, 1012, 1013, 1015, 1016. Have tried reconfiguring RAM from defaults to clck speeds of 200, 333. Various timing changes too numerous to mention, various voltages as well as reccomended for all the same. Can't run memtest on second stick (issue) because it won't boot Finally, cannot and will not send in both, as I have no other RAM to use the computer with. Please help! sent in RMA request already with "no ticket # issued" in the line where my post to the RAM GUY was supposed to furnish this. Need guidance, thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 17, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 17, 2006 You will need to get them replaced as a pair, or you might be back to the same issue. Both modules will need to be exactly matched with this platform.
canuck64
Fair enough, I guess. I will find a solution in the interim. Do I need a confirmation # from you or is that further along in the process?
