tleonczuk
Currently I have ASUS P4PE motherbord with Pentium 4 2.6GHz processor and corsair 512MB memory CMX512-2700C2. Just recently I bought aditional 512 of memory VS512MB333. As soon as I put two of them together my PC freezes after few seconds. If I try CMX512 or VS512 by itself it works fine. Are these two memories capable of working together? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks
Wired
It's never recommended to mix memory for just this reason.
tleonczuk
Sure, but is there a solution so I can get it to work?
CMC_SAVAGE
There is just too much difference in the IC's for them to work together. Your best bet is to get a matched 1GB set.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 18, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 18, 2006 I would set the timings manually to Cas 2.5-3-3-7 and set the memory frequency at DDR266 at 2.7 Volts and the modules should be in slots 1-3.
