tfields4800
Ram Guy, I have a VS512MB400 dual channel 1024mb kit that was purchased 2/18/06. It was purchased for my sons computer, and has always been run at stock timings and voltages. I had quite a bit of trouble loading OS, many BSOD's (0x00000021a and 0x00000050). Thinking something was amiss, I even swapped the motherboard, processor, and video card thinking there was some issues with one of them since this was such new memory. I finally ran memtest86+, and was shocked to see only 2 of 5 tests pass, with errors numbering upwards of 500000 in a 2 hour time period!!! The result is the same no matter which motherboard I try the memory in. Can I get these modules replaced?
tfields4800
After following a few other threads, I noticed that there was a recommendation to change the dram voltage to 2.7. This did not change the errors output when testing with memtest-86 v3.2. Please advise on what other course of action should be taken or if I should see about an RMA for these modules.
