rammer350
Hello, I have HP Pavilion zv5242qv notebook. I bought and installed VS1GSDS333 module. Now the computer doesn't boot. Sometimes it just stays blank, or windows loading screen comes on and then everything goes blank. HP tech support suggested that issue is with Ram only. I installed old ram and everything works. Any ideas? zv5242qv specs: NVIDIA NFORCE3, BIOS ver. F.35 AMD 3000+ 512 Mb, PC2700 DDR SDRAM SODIMM, 200 pins, NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go 64M Regards, rammer350
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 6, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 6, 2006 You may not be able to mix this module with the memory that came with your system but if it's the only module installed it should not be a problem. And I would make sure that you have the latest bios for your NB. Let's get it or them replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them or it. rammer350
I have the latest BIOS available. Doesn't help if VS1GSDS333 is installed by itself or mixed with installed memory (Infineon HYS64D32020GDL-6-C, 256Mb). Notebook still doesn't boot. Filed for RMA.
