atrophocy
Just installed my new dual channel kit into my MSI K8N Diamond Plus and BIOS says that it is DDR200. with the ratio at 1/2. changed ratio to 1/1 and now running at DDR333. (athlon X2 3800+ 200mhz x 10) also everest tells me timings are 3.0-3-3-8@200Mhz. Corsair tells me that timings for module are 2.5-3-3-6 which settings under BIOS do i need to change? atrophocy
furthermore, just to be a pain. if memory is running in dual channel should it say so on the post screen? because these are identical modules installed in the correct DIMMS it should, in theory, be running DC. atrophocy
sorry problem solved by reading the MB manual and switching modules around it the DIMMS
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 5, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 5, 2006 What is your module part#? If you have an XMS module that ends with a "C2" designation the SPD will be set to JEDEC defined values for the IC used to make that specific part and the tested settings would need to be manually set! Which is outlined in XMS Qualification and Testing you can also get the tested settings for your modules from that link as well. And I would suggest setting the memory voltage to 2.75 VOlts as well.
