Hi,

 

Can Someone tell me what I should run Twin2X1024-5400C4 at? 4-4-4-12?

 

My MB Intel D945GNT and the setting is 5-5-5-15... should i leave it alone or set it at 4-4-4-12... I'm kinda new at this...what do the setting means anyway.... if anyone can help.. thanks alot!! :)

Personally, I wouldn't really recommend any of the XMS series memory modules for an Intel boxed motherboard. Most Intel boxed motherboards lack any provision at all whatsoever to manually adjust the DIMM voltage (i.e. on a DDR2 motherboard, the memory runs at only 1.75V - whereas most XMS series memory needs at least 1.90V). You can manually set the timings to 4-4-4-12, if you wish - but I cannot guarantee that your system will run stably at such tighter timings, especially with lower memory voltages.

I set it at 4-4-4-12, but i do not notice any different...i ran memtest at both setting...no different.....is there something else I can do to test it...I'm running xp pro sp2. thanx for the help :) and also where can i find the ram voltage to see what it is running at....don't see anything in the bois..
