Hi

Just bought and installed 2 Gbyte TwinX CMX1024-3200C2PRO (2gig total matched pair). This is supposed to be CL2 ram but my bios only report CL3 no matter if i run it on AUTO or SPD. Alright, i enter windows, start CPU-Z and this is what i get:

Slot #1

Module Size: 1024 MB

Max Bandwitdth: PC3200 (200MHz)

Manufactuer: Corsair

Part number: (sorry dont remember, and memory is not installed atm)

Serial Number: FFFFFFFF

Manufacturing Date: Week 255, Year 255

SPD timings table:

CAS# Latency: 3

RAS# to CAS#: 3

RAS# Precharge: 3

TRas#: 8

I have tried to move the sticks around in the slots with same result.

so i have spent a bucketload of money for CL3 memory wich is supposed to be CL2 and i have seriously screwed up serial numbers...

im now running my old valueram sticks (2x 512) because i dont wanna get screwed by some warranty clause.

Is my memory defect from store ?

Default settings, no OC on system

Mobo: Abit KN8-SLI

CPU: AMD X2 4200+

GPU: Gainward 7800GTX

PSU: Seasonic S12 600W

some other non vital stuff
