glen_taylor_aus
Hi there, I recently purchased a single 1GB chip (VS1GB400C3) and upon installing found that my PC will not boot. Gives a single long beep, indicating memory problems. I then tried quite a few bios settings I thought might fix it to no avail. Even tried the memory in different slots. Then tried the chip in my mates ASUS P4S800-MX SE motherboard and it also would not boot with some beeping (Didn't take note of what sort of beeping). My system is: CPU: Sempron 2800+ MBoard: ABIT NF7-S rev 2.0 Bios: v26 Video Card: 128mb ATI Radeon 9800 HDD: 2 20Gb HDD in RAID (Stripe) and 1 160Gb 7200rpm WD. Where to from here? Glen Taylor.
