Problem: Gigabyte K8NXP-9 & TWINX2048-3200C2

Recommended Posts

I bought new ram for my K8NXP-9 board (bios f9)

Athlon 64 3800+ (rev. dh-e6)

In Corsair-Database it is possible to work with 2-3-3-6 timings on this board.

But i always get a bluescreen on startup (winxp).

It is only possible to run these modules with 2.5-3-3-8.

I set voltage to +0.2... same problem. :[pouts:

Is there any possibility to run them on 2-3-3-6 stable?

I only bought them, cause i thought they are pretested and will run with these timings.

bye :):

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.

got it! :):

'fsb' is in bios set to 200mhz. i used cpu-z to find out the real 'fsb'... and it's 205,8mhz at this setting.

then i "overclocked" to 201mhz and the real 'fsb' is now 201mhz.

voltage +0.2 and my modules are running with 2-3-3-6. :):

memtest was running 3 hours without errors, but prime95 only runs a few minutes.

doesn't matter... games are running without problems. :):

thank you! :): :): :):

see you in azeroth... ;): :D:
