Drakki
Hi, I bought new ram for my K8NXP-9 board (bios f9) Athlon 64 3800+ (rev. dh-e6) In Corsair-Database it is possible to work with 2-3-3-6 timings on this board. But i always get a bluescreen on startup (winxp). It is only possible to run these modules with 2.5-3-3-8. I set voltage to +0.2... same problem. :[pouts: Is there any possibility to run them on 2-3-3-6 stable? I only bought them, cause i thought they are pretested and will run with these timings. help!!!11 bye :):
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 31, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. Drakki
got it! :): 'fsb' is in bios set to 200mhz. i used cpu-z to find out the real 'fsb'... and it's 205,8mhz at this setting. then i "overclocked" to 201mhz and the real 'fsb' is now 201mhz. voltage +0.2 and my modules are running with 2-3-3-6. :): memtest was running 3 hours without errors, but prime95 only runs a few minutes. doesn't matter... games are running without problems. :): thank you! :): :): :): see you in azeroth... ;): :D:
