sullyxlh Posted January 30, 2006 Share Posted January 30, 2006 Hi,I have an Asus A7N8X v2.0 board,my cpu is a Athlon XP 2500+ Barton 333MHz,it presently has two sticks of VS256MB333,i would like to upgrade to atleast 1.5g or even 2g,in the vs series or the xms series,but am finding it hard to find a selection of ram in that speed,so my questions are 1)can i run pc3200 without any issues or would i have to upgrade to a cpu with a 400fsb or if applicable, switch the settings in the bios , 2)if i can't do question 1, should i just go with 3 sticks of VS512mb333,two are rated dual channel,(i can't find any VS ram in 1g rated for dual channel) or go with two single sticks of 1g VS1024mb333 and leave the 3rd slot for future use.I have had good success with corsair and would prefer to stay with them ~thx brian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It would default to 333MHz.
