Bad Ram need RMA

Coreyl

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased two 1Gbyte TwinX DDR2 memory model CM2X512-5400C4. After receiving a memory could not be read error message in my Windows XP Professional operating system and some system freezes and crash during game play, I proceeded to test the RAM using Memtest86 v3.2 and memory did in fact test bad. After removing defective 1GB pair my system has not experienced any problems. I would like to exchange the defective pair.

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
