CyberUnDead
I purchased TwinX1024-2700LLPT DDR RAM from Newegg back on March 17, 2003. However one of those sticks went awry I requested a RMA # on August 14, 2004. I promptly received CMX512-2700LLPT DDR replacements (as the sticks were bundled together as a pair). Unfortunately last month my little sister's machine would freeze during Windows XP Professional boot screen (the lower third moving bar). I ran MemTest86 3.2 and sure enough one of the new replacment sticks now has hundreds of errors starting at test #3. The system has not changed. Asus P4G8X Deluxe Maxtor 20GB (6E020L0) Pioneer DVR-104 DVD-R/RW Lite-On 52X CD-R ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (AGP) Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Altec Lansing (3 piece speakers) Back in mid-August 2004 when the initial sticks went bad I bought cheap Kingston ValueRAM 2x256MB (PC3200) from Circuit City to get by until the replacements arrived. This RAM is still okay and each stick passes MemTest86. So I don't think it is the motherboard. Please advise.
