Mespinal
Well, this is my problem: I just updated my Laptop from 512MB of RAM to 1GB (PC 2700). After removing the old one and installing the new one, my computer is freezing randomly. Also, I can start games normally, but a few seconds after the loading is complete, it crashes and I have to restart. I'm not sure if this problem comes from RAM incompatibility or RAM settings. According to Corsair's Memory finder, the RAM I bought is right for my computer model. Part #:CMSS1GB-333SOD I noticed when I press F10 for BIOS setup at startup it gave me limited options as to what I could change. I need to access the advanced BIOS settings so I can change my RAM latency, etc. How can I access these settings? Maybe through some type of software? Its a HP Laptop: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+, running Windows XP Home Edition(SP2), with a Phoenix BIOS. Can anybody help me with problem?
