While I have had the occassional crash of freeze that, in hindsight, were probably cause by bad RAM, it was nothing serious. Recently when I was copying the contents of one hard drive to another I would constantly get either freezes or kernel panics. I ran memtest86+ overnight and it found some errors. I changed the BIOS detected memory settings to the ones on the site, ran memtest again and still got errors. I removed one of the sticks and ran memtest again, no errors. I managed to copy the hard drive contents without issue and the machine has been perfectly stable ever since. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 2, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 2, 2006 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well?
