ColinJ
I have an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe MB with an Athlon 64 3500+ and at the moment a single 512Mb Value Select 3200 mem module. 'Sandra' detects this as a VS512MB400, with a CAS of 2.5 . I am planning to upgrade to 2 Gb, and want to buy an additional VS512MB400 plus a VS1GBKIT400 and run the lot in dual channel mode. Of course I expect the kit to run OK as a apair, but will the existing 512 and the new 512?

But your memory speed will default to DDR333/PC2700 speed (166MHz) with all four memory slots filled with double-sided DIMM's (remember, all of Corsair's 512MB modules are double-sided at present). Also, depending on your processor core version, you may also be limited to DDR333/PC2700 maximum with all four slots filled, and may run unstably at even 3MHz/DDR006/PC0048 above 166MHz/DDR333/PC2700 speed.
