darfur
I purchased 2x VS512MB400 from Tiger Direct almost a year ago, and tonight one of those sticks has gone bad. I have decided it's the one stick because out of nowhere my computer started locking up, and would sometimes not POST. I ran memtest and it failed but once I moved one of the sticks out my computer is working 100% fine. Perhaps it's something else though? My bios settings are 100% factory default (as far as overclocking goes). I'm pretty sure it is the memory, but maybe there's something else I can try that I'm not thinking of. darfur
That would put me completely out of a computer for a one to two weeks, and I can't really afford that since I'm in college (especially since I am a CS major and will have programming to do). Are both sticks really necessary?
