Katsugo
Good Day, I am using a Voyager 512 Flash drive. Here is what happened. 1 - On my home PC ( XP Pro ) I accidently wrote a boot sector to the Flash drive. 2 - It seemed fine. I learned later that I could not load data to the Flash drive over half of it's capacity. This happened yesterday. 3 - Today on my office PC ( 2000 ) I copied off all data. 4 - I formatted the drive using the format command in Windows 2000. 5 - I loaded back all of the original data. 6 - I attempted to load more data and failed. It wont load past half capacity. 7 - I loaded Corsiar software onto the PC in order to re-format it. 8 - The program asks for the password I set but it wont accept it. 9 - I enter the password twice, it says "incorrect password". The program closes and the drive disappears fron the drive menu. I unplug the drive and replug it but the same thing happens. I used the password "hint" to make sure but it still fails. 9 - I entered the password lower case and upper case. It fails. Questions. 1 - How do I get past my password problem? 2 - Can I re-format the drive so it accepts data to full capacity like it used to? Thank you. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 22, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 22, 2006 Please try and format your Flash Voyager with Corsair EZ-Recover Utility. Please note; this will not recover Data; it’s made to recover the FAT table for the Flash drive. But First if you need to recover some data there are some third party utilities available that may help you if you have some data you need to recover from this site.
