BibleMan
Im running the TWINX2048-3500LLPRO on the ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe. I bumped up the memory clock to 216 mhz (to get the advertised 433mhz clock rate) I kept the SPD timings at 2/3/2/6 with the CR at 1T. CPUZ, Everest Home, and 3dMark06 all read the timings correctly, but they all read the clock at only 200 mhz. Furthermore, all three programs report the memory as 3200 sdram, not 3500. what gives? Thanks in advance for your help!
Wired
Are they reporting the SPD information, or the actual information?

Thanks in advance for your help! They report your actual settings for timings, all right - but they tend to report anything that's PC3200 and above as simply PC3200 (the highest JEDEC standard for DDR1 memory). BibleMan
Are they reporting the SPD information, or the actual information? I'm sorry, this is my first time dealing with memory settings in such detail...I'm not sure what your question means. Can you break it down a little bit more for me? Wired
Memory has what's called a SPD chip on the stick. It holds information for default settings on it. Programs that report on memory will usually report both information. The SPD info will never change of course. http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44495
BibleMan
Well, using cpuz, in the memory tab where the actual settings are reported..im getting a clock speed of 100.5 mhz...that's after changing it in BIOS to 218 mhz to get the advertised clock of 437. in the SPD tab of cpuz its reading 200 mhz. i changed the clock speed of the memory in BIOS, why isnt it working? Was I supposed to change something else in addition? its also reading dimms as 3200 sdram. its supposed to be 3500. thanks for your help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 2, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 2, 2006 You will have to set your CPU Freq at 217 Mhz in order to run the modules at DDR433.
BibleMan
You will have to set your CPU Freq at 217 Mhz in order to run the modules at DDR433. Thanks! 1) The system is not stable if I set the CPU freq any higher than 212mhz. Is this a memory issue or a mobo issue? Please advise how I can fix this problem. 2) This is probably a stupid question but should I raise the NB to SB frequency as well?
