medictrooper
i got 2 replacement memory parts from corsair a month ago. i put it in my computor and my computor was still having problems. i erased my computors memory and reinstalled windows. my computor continued to have problems with the memory sticks i got. i tried my friends memory (he has the same model taht i have) and they worked fine, i think my computor corrupted the memory i got before it was rebooted. medictrooper
its CMX512-3200C2PRO series sticks, yes its a twin pack. i made sure that all of the numbers on my friends sticks of memory (short of the bar code) was the exact same as mine when i tested it out. the memory worked great on my comp before it got a virus. i have a CHAINTECH VNF4 Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard and a AMD Athlon 64 processor i ran a few tests on the memory (memtest 86 and windiag) and both came up with errors
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 23, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 23, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
