gamestar
hi, my question: i it possible to use Twin2x1024-8000ul modules on a asus p5n32-sli deluxe? the chipset of the board does only support 5400(ddr2-675) ram. does the 8000ul modul work at 5400 settings like the Twin2x1024-5400ul ? bye markus

morphman
since those 5400ul has been out of stock worldwide is it a good thing to buy the 8000ul instead or just wait for the 5400ul to appear again. Thanks my question again is if i can run 8000ul in 3-3-2-8 the 675mhz. Thanks again ;)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 13, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 13, 2006 It’s not guaranteed but they are both based on the same IC. There is a shortage of the IC we use to make both of these modules. Right now XMS6400 or XMS5400C4 are the only parts available with us. But you might find a reseller who has old stock.
