foreverit Posted January 20, 2006 Share Posted January 20, 2006 Hi All, I've recently purchased new memory and I'm coming against the same stability issues that I've read on here but I haven't found any clues for solving my problem. I'm upgrading from 128mb DDR266 (unbranded) to Corsair 512mb DDR266. Running with the 128mb module in the system is fine and reliable. With the new 512mb module installed the system can barely load windows. So I'm pretty sure it is purely down to the memory module. I've run memtest as recommended in other threads on this site and all the tests passed ok except test#5 (Block Move, 64 Moves [108k - 512m 512m]) where I recieve 13312 errors in quick succsession. The motherboard is a Soltek SL-75DRV2 (unfortunately the official soltek page for this MB is down, and has been for some time). I have a 350w output on my PSU, and a 1.8gb AMD processor.
