andru
Greetings. I currently have: Corsair TWINX 1024 PC4000 (2x512) DDR 3-4-4-8 Platinum I want to upgrade my system with another gig, but the ram has really gone up in price here in Canada. I cant afford the $300, but I noticed some other corsair twinx stuff on sale at the shop I usually deal with. This is what Im looking at getting because its a good deal: Corsair Twinx PC3200 1GB 2X512MB DDR400 CL2.5-3-3-6 184PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory My question is - will this cause problems? Will I notice a significant drop in gaming performance? (currently I dont overclock the ram - so Im thinking PC4000 is a bit overkill for my purposes). Any insight you could provide would be greatly apprecaited.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 19, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2006 You will need to match what you have now or the system may not be stable or might not even post. I would suggest you match the part# and revision that you have not or just replace what you have with Twinx2048-4000 for best performance.
