dizkord
I'm running my CPU ( XP 3200+) at 200mhz FSB x11 Vcore of 1.65 (although cpuz reports a fluctuation between 1.68 and 1.72), my ram at 200mhz via 1:1 ratio, timed at CAS Latency: 3 RAS to CAS delay: 4 RAS Precharge: 4 Cycle Time: 8 and 2.6 Vcore. I was wondering if there is anything I should change about these settings either due to me just setting them incorrectly or a difference between AMD vs. Intel I think I've actually gotten it stable, although I haven't spend more than about 10 min inside any games yet. I was having problems with WinXP not getting far past the login (if that far) before my box would reboot unless I downclocked the bus so I was running the cpu at ~1.8ghz and the RAM at 333mhz, but when I specified 2.6 for the DRAM Vcore and 1.65 for the CPU Vcore, it seemed to stabilize. I'm not really trying to push it much, but I've read a lot about Corsair XMS PC3200 being set at 2.7 and I'm wondering if it's worth the extra .1, although the specific recommended settings on newegg were, in fact, 3x4x4x8@2.6 If nothing else, and I hit the proverbial nail on the head, I haven't seen settings documented for quite the hardware setup I have on this forum, so maybe this post will help others. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 19, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2006 Yes I would try these settings Memory Frequency 100%/1-1 CAS Latency: 3 RAS to CAS delay: 3 RAS Precharge: 3 Cycle Time: 8 and 2.7 Vcore. Then test the system with http://www.memtest.org to be sure its stable and you should have the modules in slots 2-3 as well.
