zapman22
I have an asus p5ad2 mb and was running it with a corsair 512mb xms2 667 and decided that i did not need performance but just more memory so i ordered vs2gb kit. I plugged it in a non dual channel way but it booted got me to windows and then the asus ai booster crashed and rebooted my comp. i then decided to change it to dual channel and it wont even boot the bios does not come up. i cleared the rtc ram and that didn't help. everything is firmly adjusted. i have no idea how to get this ram going. what could it be? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 20, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 20, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.0 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then leave the timings to "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
