Bad Module

I have been running a single CMX1024-3200PT Module for two years with no problems. A couple of weeks ago I installed a second module and everything worked fine for about 8 hours. Windows XP froze, so I hit reset and then as soon as Windows would start to load the welcome screen it would shutdown & reboot continuously. When I remove the new module Windows would not reboot, but would freeze on the welcome screen and not load. I took my PC to a local shop with out telling them I had new ram. The harddrive and everything on it was trash. They told me I needed a new harddrive and I had a bad RAM Module (which was the new one).

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings to "By SPD", and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
