fubar5643
I have been running a single CMX1024-3200PT Module for two years with no problems. A couple of weeks ago I installed a second module and everything worked fine for about 8 hours. Windows XP froze, so I hit reset and then as soon as Windows would start to load the welcome screen it would shutdown & reboot continuously. When I remove the new module Windows would not reboot, but would freeze on the welcome screen and not load. I took my PC to a local shop with out telling them I had new ram. The harddrive and everything on it was trash. They told me I needed a new harddrive and I had a bad RAM Module (which was the new one).
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 19, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings to "By SPD", and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
