Orlanduo
This BSOD happens randomly, usually while im 10-15 mins into windows it will occur. I just tried starting it with one of my 2 sticks off DDR 3200 Corsair rams, and it wouldnt boot, got stuck at the windows boot screen part, tried my other stick and so far it's working fine...if it continues to work and I don't get a BSOD, then I was just wondering if I should send both of my RAM back(I got them both at once, and they're dual channel) so yeah...this is the error Machine_Check_Exception STOP:0x0000009C (0x00000004, 0x80545FF0, 0xB2000000, 0x00070F0F) I've googled this a few times, says that there could be a number of problems, from HD, to PSU, to CPU, RAM, MB, etc... Machine Specs: Gigabyte K8NSPRO PNY NV 6600 256mb 2x Corsair DDR3200 Dual Channel RAM.(yes I'm aware my MB isnt dual channel...would that matter?) AMD 3000+ Seagate 120G HD... Anyway, thanks, if my computer doesn't get the error I'll bump this thread, and ask again what I should do with the bad piece of RAM... thanks, Tyler
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 17, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 17, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have (Cass 2-3-2-6 with the Rass to Cass set to "3"), and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
Orlanduo
alright, so it worked fine for the few days, then it decided, yay I'm gonna BSOD again... I ran memtest and all that, they all passed, so I guess it's not the mem... Any other ideas of what it could be, I was thinking something around the lines of HD..
