Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 17, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 17, 2006 Make sure you have them installed in the correct dual channel slots. If installed in single channel slots, it will run the memory at 333MHZ.

In addition, you installed the modules into DIMM2 and DIMM3, but left DIMM1 empty. With Asus Socket 754 motherboards, DIMM1 must be filled in order for two double-sided modules to run at DDR400 speed.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 18, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 18, 2006 Yes and with this MB if you install more than one double sided module DDR333 would be suggested. But you can install them is slots 1-3 or 2-3 and try and force it to run at DDR400 but I would test the system with http://www.memtest.org to be sure its stable. mofo88
ive tried both slot 1-3 and 1 -2 I dont think I can do 2-3 because the first one needs to be filled......and how should I force it?
