Anubis17
I have a Presario S6020WM that I had upgraded to 2x256MB of RAM. For Christmas I got a Value Select VS1GBKIT333 (2x512MB) to upgrade. I installed it and everything was fine for about an hour then my system started a bad habit of randomly rebooting. I had installed a new Sapphire Radeon 9250 video card to with the only intent being to play Age of Empires 3. I thought that the video card was the problem until I read that other people have had similar issues that ended up being a bad memory stick. I need to know if it could be a compatibility issue between the motherboard, which is the stock one that came with the system (MS-6577 M-ATX Rev. 3.1 (Giovani), Rev. 4.0 (Giovani2)), or a bad memory stick. Thanks for any help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 13, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 13, 2006 Please test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
