hawkcra7
Configuration: Asus P5SD2-X Celeron 2.6 CM2X512-5400C4 SATA 80 WD I have 12 of these systems, so I have eliminated the possiblility that there is bad hardware. Problem: When using MemTest86+ I recieve memory erros and when I manually adjust memory timings to the exact specifications rather than use the auto it gets even worse. Is there a known compatibility with this motherboard and memory? Chipset NB:SIS656 Chipset SB:SIS965L I have tried single modual in every slot and tried paired using the appropriate slots. Any suggestions?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 14, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 14, 2006 What is the FSB of your CPU? 533Mhz or 800Mhz?
hawkcra7
It is a Celeron D 533Mhz. Still having memory errors. They are not common happen once every 2-3 passes of either MemTest+ or the Microsoft Windows Memory Test. Any suggestions?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 19, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2006 I would try the memory Frequency set to 400 Mhz and see what happens.
hawkcra7
It only becomes stable at 333Mhz; this is true with Kingston as well. I will never purchase a motherboard from ASUS with a SiS chipset again.
Yellowbeard
It only becomes stable at 333Mhz; this is true with XXXXXXXXX as well. I will never purchase a motherboard from ASUS with a SiS chipset again. Avoiding SiS is always good IMO based on my past experiences. Good luck with your issues. Mike.
