jeffroscc
Hey, I have a Dell Dimension 8200, and I'm really wanting to buy the Corsair XMS here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145575#sctNav I can't find for the life of me if it will work or not, anyone here know?
Garvin
The following link is to the Corsair Configurator. Just punch in Desktop, then Dell, then 8200(with the correct FSB version you have) and it will spit out all of the compatible models for your system: http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/configurator_search.html
jeffroscc
See here's my dillema: My friend has the exact same computer as me, and he installed these and they work, but this thing doesn't list them as being compatable. If I buy them and they don't work, am I able to send them back for a refund or am I screwed?
RJLeong65
See here's my dillema: My friend has the exact same computer as me, and he installed these and they work, but this thing doesn't list them as being compatable. If I buy them and they don't work, am I able to send them back for a refund or am I screwed? They will not even fit. You see, the Dell Dimension 8200 does not use DDR SDRAM memory at all! The pin layout and notches of any DDR SDRAM module are different from the memory that will fit the Dimension 8200's motherboard. The Dimension 8200 actually uses PC800 RDRAM modules - and you will have a tougher time finding them, as Intel's current chipsets no longer use RDRAM.
