davidj
Bought two CMX512-3200C2PRO modules as part of a TwinX pack. Worked fine for a week or so, then the system crashed. Upon boot (cold or warm) the system has no video but gives the audible POST message "memory failure" or something like that. I've swapped the two memory modules with the same result. Also put the modules in one at a time and the suspect module gives the POST message every time. Right now I'm running with the "good" module with no problems. I don't seem to be able to run Memtest as the system won't boot with the bad module installed. Help!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 12, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 12, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
