jrlbarch
I recently purchased a Flash Voyager USB 2.0 512m to use on my Dell Dimension XPS 200n, which uses a Windows 98 operating system. To my surprise, no USB port. What components do I need to get this installed? Will the Flash voyager work on windows 98 or is 98SE required? Do I need to get a USB high speed port installed on the computer?
Mitch808
You will need Win98SE to make things work at a minimum. There are a number of PCI cards that will add USB support to older computers. However, I would strongly urge you to upgrade to a new computer with Windows XP on it.
Clover
I, too, have an ole Dell Dimension Series running Windows 98 that couldn’t locate a driver for Corsair’s USB 2.0 flash memory drive. I ended up going to http://corsairmemory.com/corsair/flash_memory.html#fv to download their driver for Windows 98. You’ll find the download site on the left side about half way down the page. …Now everything works just fine. I’ve had no problems.
