Schniz
I have an MD-8088 v1.x M-ATX mobo with 2x 256MB, PC3200, dual channel, CL3, non-ECC, unbuffered, samsung ram. I wish to add an additional 1G ram and was wondering if the TWINX1024-3200C2 (specs below) chips would be 100% compatable. I am unsure if CL2 and CL3 ram is completely compatable. Also, i dont know what density my current ram is (would it say on the chip?) and am not sure if that would create issues. Specs: Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2 1024MB (2x XMS512MB) PC-3200 Dual Channel DDR RAM, 2x64Mx64non-ECC, 184-pin DIMMs, Unbuffered, CL2, 32Mx8 DRAMs, Heat Spreader. Wired
It's never recommended to mix memory from different manufacturers, or of different ICs.
