was just browsing the corsair website looking for the fastest ram out for a benchmarking machine im building.

im going to be using a fx-57, why is the the regestered ram is better suited to the fx cpu's?

i have a set of TWINX1024-4000PRO's (unused as yet) going to try to swap at my local computer store (plus difference) for either TWINX1024-4400C25's or TWINX2048-4000PT

might be in the wrong section, but which would be better for benching?

or would i be better off going for the registered? are the design changes between the dimm's i listed and the registered ones likely to make a performance difference when benching?

thanks for your help

i thought the fx chips were socket 939?

this one is certainly listed as such... will check, but i though the last of the 940's were history?

so if its a socket 939 fx-57 i can use the TWINX1024-4400C25 or the TWINX2048-4000PT?

which ones better? :P

thanks again
