jsy982002
I am planning a new pc and i am planning to get a cool-Kit to cool my system. i was just wondering if it would fit my case since my case would be the Lian Li V1100B Plus. And with it's "unique" design, i'm not sure if the pump and all the other things will fit my case perfectly.
stev
jsy982002, Jon "U2" Matsushino's review ( http://www.systemcooling.com/corsair_cool-01.html ) over at SystemCooling has the COOL in a Lian Li PC-V1200. The Lian Li website does not show a picture of the V1100B Plus's back side nor a nice angled shot to evaluate. However, this site was the only one I could find doing a Google image search with more info. http://www.pcsilent.de/depd_lian_li_pc_v1100b_plus_silent_aluminium_midi_tower-lianliv1100b.asp?p1=gruppe&p2=leise_gehaeuse_lian_li There are plenty of 5.25 drive bays for the reservoir and ample room for the pump. See Jon's review to get ideas of component placement. :sunglasse The rear fan area should work with the RAD box in the kit too. Stev
JonKrmr
I have a Lian-Li V1000B case with the COOL kit installed. Everything fits without any issues. Look at the pic attached to see. Note: I have modified the stock COOL kit to give more cooling capacity as I am cooling not only my CPU, but also my video and north bridge. Cheers! jsy982002
THANKS GUYS!!! great help! now the only thing i am wondering is : i am planning to buy an x1800XT or the upcoming X1900XTX which is similar to the X1800XT, i was wondering if corsair have the cooling block to cool the graphics card at the same time the ram chips. if they don't have...can you suggest any cooling block for such graphics card. thanks in advance. oh by the way....you can add another cooling block to the original kit?? can't you??? ow and does the north bridge chip really need cooling?? ginigwunkle
for the card id reccomend the danger den ati-x18 block made specially for the job, all youl need to add the extra water block(or two in sli) is more piping and water'. as long as your not pumping through miles of extra piping then your pump will be fine for the jobby! CHEERS!!! BTW i used to cool my northbridge but changed motherboard and now the graphics card gets in the way of the water block and havent noticed performance drop and still get same results in 3dmark! KaptCrunch
yes you can add WB's as long have enough rad area to disapate extra heat load. if go with danger den ati-x18 order the 3/8 barb's so all you need is more 3/8 tubing.

jsy982002
still can't decide with my case. :) if i buy the corsair cool kit. will i still be able to use the blower fan and the cpu duct that is included in the PLUS version of the lian li casing or is it more advisable for me to just go for the normal version of the case. i'm really not sure becasue i don't know if it would still fit when the corsair cool kit is installed. thanks
JonKrmr
The PC slot blower fan should be no problem. The CPU duct might not be a problem, but you would need to physically see if it fits. There would not be much need for the CPU duct since your CPU would now be kept cool by the water block on the COOL system. There is much less need to have air blow directly over the CPU since you are not using an air cooled CPU heat sink. You would only need air flow over the motherboard which would still happen without the CPU duct. Also, you really don't need the PC card slot blower unless you have a lot of PC cards. My case is a Lian-Li PC-V1000B and I have no heat issues inside the case with the standard case fans without the PC card blower and CPU duct. BTW, the Lian-Li PC-V1x00 series cases are sweet! Well worth the money.:):
