dllaffer
I currently have a stick of Corsair Value Select VS512MB4002.5 which is double sided installed. My motherboard manual says I can only install 2 DIMMS if one of them is single sided. No one I can find makes a single sided 512MB 400Mhz PC3200 stick. Should I just pull the 512MB stick & buy a 1GB stick or can I slow down the memory to 333MHZ and install a second 512MB 400Mhz PC3200 stick? Thanks, Dave
Wired
Does it say 2 dual sided sticks @ 333 will work? 512 single sided are expensive to make.
dllaffer
It doesn't really say if they will work at 333Mhz. The table says for 2 DIMMS that DIMM 1 can be either single sided or double sided but if you use double sided in DIMM 1 slot you can only use single sided in DIMM 2 or DIMM 3 slot. If you use single sided in DIMM 1 you can then use double sided in DIMM 2 or 3. All references are for 400Mhz speed. Maybe this is a good question fro EPOX support. Thanks, Dave:sigh!:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 5, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 5, 2006 At this time all 512 Meg and larger modules would be double sided. Sorry!
